Both Carl and Sarah have travelled extensively, lived abroad and enjoyed (and occasionally endured) a wide spectrum of holiday and business accommodation and this experience has shaped their understanding of what makes a great holiday home. Their ethos is simple - to listen to and understand what guests require and provide only the best holiday homes. If there is something that would help to make your stay extra special, just ask. Maybe you are organising the holiday as a birthday treat and you need help with the cake or decorations. Perhaps it is a romantic getaway and you want champagne chilling and flowers on arrival.

Pear Tree Cottage is set in an idyllic village, moments from the South Downs, with wonderful walks, bike rides, picnics and sunsets practically on your doorstep. The beaches and theatres at Eastbourne are only a 10-minute drive and Brighton is also within easy reach. For such a charming cottage there is a surprising amount of space. The cosy lounge has a wood burning stove, sofas and a smart TV so you can chill out with your favourite box set. A separate dining room has a circular table to seat six while planning your next adventure, and a farmhouse-style kitchen is well equipped for self catering, with a big range cooker, dishwasher, toaster, microwave and plates and cutlery galore. This downstairs floor also has a shower room and the back door opens to a patio courtyard. An outdoor shed houses the washer dryer and can store bikes. Upstairs the kingsize master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is a double, and a twin leads off this. WiFi, towels and linen provided. Parking on street free. Friday changeover in peak season.

The house is literally at the foot of the South Downs, one of the UK's most spectacular walking and biking trails. How about taking tours of the nearby vineyards? Or taking a bike tour (you can hire bikes, including electric options)? Eastbourne is just the other side of the hills which has all the essentials, cinema and real life if you fancy it or head in the other direction to sample all the delights of Brighton.
