A Grade II* listed property, featured in The Guardian as one of 40 extraordinary places to stay in the UK (14 March 2020), Round House East is set in the village of Veryan on Cornwall’s dramatic Roseland Peninsula and is one of four round thatched houses built in 1820 by the Reverend Trist. They are said to have been built in the round so that the devil could not hide, and the crosses on top were intended to keep the devil away.​ Close to the Cornish coast path, dog-friendly beaches, coves, pubs and restaurants, gardens, galleries and National Trust properties, you can take it as lively or as quietly as you like at Round House East. Round House East is dog-friendly and we do not charge extra for you to bring your dog! We know how great it is to be able to holiday with your dog(s) and so well-behaved dogs and owners are most welcome any time of year.

Round House East is set in the village of Veryan on Cornwall’s dramatic Roseland Peninsula and is one of four round thatched houses built in 1820 by the Reverend Trist. Veryan is a lively community with a village pub, and shop and Post Office. The dog-friendly beaches at Carne and Pendower are nearby, as is the South West Coast Path. Fabulous food is available from the other local pubs, as well as from numerous restaurants and food shops. The Cathedral City of Truro can be reached easily, including by way of the King Harry Ferry. Falmouth is also nearby, including by passenger ferry from beautiful St Mawes, where you will find the National Maritime Museum.
