I have spent years renovating my home, mixing together old reclaimed wooden floors, exposed bricks and industrial lighting with a sleek black kitchen, crittall windows and an eco wood burning stove. It's created a space that feels part country cottage part loft apartment, which I absolutely love. It's situated next to Broadway Market, Columbia Road Flower Market & London Fields (the heart of Hackney) with a large private garden which is perfect for entertaining or relaxing in.

I grew up in the Cotswolds, then moved to London where I have lived for 20 years, moving around the city until feeling at home in Hackney, an area which I love. I work in film and television as a freelance producer so I move jobs a lot and am often away with work. When in the UK, I split my time between Hackney and the Cotswolds, taking great pleasure from the variety that both places bring: east end food and flower markets, to country pubs and walks. I love entertaining, and both my London flat and country cottage are designed for hosting dinners and guests. So if you do come to stay in either, please do make the most of them and throw a dinner or two while you're there. If my flat is available to rent then it probably means I am abroad with work or visiting my family in the countryside, so my lovely cleaning lady will prepare the flat and leave the keys in a key safe so you can check in any time you like. Either myself or a neighbour will be contactable on the phone / text / email if you need any help with anything, and you can leave the keys back in the safe when you check out.

Broadway Market is a 1 minute walk away and is a brilliant street filled with awesome restaurants and bars. Every Saturday it hosts the market stalls where you can get all types of food, drinks, clothing, art, books, and other East london curiosities. Columbia Road is a 4 minute walk way and really comes to life on a Sunday when it hosts the flower market - a true East End experience of market traders selling beautiful fresh cut flowers and plants, with live street bands, coffees and cocktails. London Fields and Haggerston are two parks either side of the flat and are both beautiful in different ways. One is ultra hipster with BBQs, wild flowers and a really fun feeling. The other is peaceful with a small pond, a farmyard full of animals and a quaint walled garden with flowers. Shoreditch is a 10 minute walk away, Dalston is 15 minutes walk, and Bethnal Green 15 minutes. There are numerous bus routes (55, 48, 26) which are close to the flat and take you towards the centre of the city and towards various Underground stations (Liverpool Street, Bethnal Green, Old Steet). Or Uber is cheap, reliable and quick.
