The Fleet Air Arm Museum, which is located 7 miles north of Yeovil and is one of the largest aviation museums in the world with many historic aircraft on display, is a little further away but still within easy driving distance, and the prestigious Haynes International Motor Museum at Sparkford offers an excellent day out for everyone with a vast collection of veteran, vintage, and classic cars and bikes offering a fascinating window into motoring history. There are many options available for individuals interested in historical properties, including Tintinhull Gardens (NT), close to Yeovil, Montacute House (NT), at Montacute, and Barrington Court (NT), close to Ilminster.
