Our Gilman's Cottage is a beautiful, tastefully refurbished 500+ yr old cottage. The very comfortable six rooms are thoughtfully designed. Nestled in the middle of historical Medmenham Village, it is an ideal location from which to explore the Thames Walk, Hambleden lock & village and the hamlets of Fingest, Frieth, Rotten Row, Parmoor and Skirmett. Gillman’s Cottage is a beautiful, quintessentially English cottage adjacent to The Dog & Badger Pub and Restaurant. This Grade II listed former Ale House believed to date back to 1550 has been refurbished and converted into six ensuite rooms which all retain their original character but have stunning bathrooms, air conditioning and mood lighting. All of our beds are super-king-sized apart from Hibiscus which is king-sized. All 6 rooms feature thoughtful touches such as coffee & tea bags, complimentary wireless Internet access and Smart TVs with digital channels/apps. Guests will also find mini-fridge, iron & board, hairdryers, free toiletries, soft towels and bath robes. We have a large adjacent car park with electric vehicle charging point. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, four with both baths and walk-in showers. Only Juniper and Angelica rooms are dog-friendly. Please call for availability. Please be advised that due to a health and safety issue on site we are temporarily unable to offer any restaurant or pub facilities due to a sink hole at the front of the property forming, we have had to close the main building until repairs are carried out. The hotel cottage is unaffected however though note we are only able to provide the accommodation on a room only basis, no breakfast or pub facilities are available at this time. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
