This detached property is said to be 500 years old and built from stone taken from the Priory after the dissolution of the monasteries. Truly tucked away in the corner of St Cuthbert’s Square with views of the sea, Lindisfarne Castle and the Priory, and refurbished in 2018, the Old Granary now has all the contemporary comforts along with quirky features, such as the beamed ceilings made from the masts of old herring boats. There is no outside space at the property, however you have the whole island to explore. Steeped in history and with an abundance of wild birds, plants and rare habitats within the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve, the island is a seasonal feeding ground for migrating birds and resident grey seals.
