I love Alnwick however parking around the town centre could be improved. Quite an expensive place to eat and drink. The history of the town is displayed and captured really well. There are all sorts of little shops and cafes hidden in alleys and courtyards. A must for scones and coffee or even a cream tea is the strawberry lounge. Highly recommended.

The the itself is quite attractive with many quirky and interesting shops. We did find it difficult to book a restaurant for dinner as everywhere was busy. Also very difficult to navigate the pavements due to the amount of dogs, puppies etc. It must be the 'barking capital' of the UK!

It was great dining in the Olympic dining room, that's the reason I went to experience the grandeur and it didn't disappoint. The service and food were excellent. I had a lovely room with a street view, comfy bed and I slept well. The hotel is perfectly located near the shops and only a few minutes walk from the castle and gardens and bus stop to Alnmouth station and beyond. I'd definitely stay there again.

Everything! staff were helpful, room was very clean and the property was done to a high standard. Amazing looking building. Easy to park the car close by with free parking. Was closed for maintenance however, right next door to the entrance to Alnwick castle. Will definitely be back at some point and would 100% recommend everyone else to give this hotel a shot. thanks guys

I found this to be a good base for a walking the Northumberland Coast Path, with bus stops within a few minutes’ walk and just 15 minutes’ walk to the centre of Alnwick with its bus station. My hotel room was clean and very comfortable, with an ample supply of toiletries. The food in the restaurant was very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
