United KingdomAbsolutely everything (and Im fussy). beautifully refurbished bar and spotless, comfortable and well appointed accommodation. everything you need and easy parking. delicious food in the bar/restaurant and a great choice of all courses beautifully cooked. very sociable and professional owners and staff and nothing was too much trouble. eg wanting different veg and spuds from those suggested on the menu.
Loved the breakfast room with great choice of teas/coffees, cereals and fruit. And of course a fry-up and other options all freshly cooked to your specific requirements.
Location was prefect too at the entrance to the valley with many walk options.

New ZealandFantastic food and service. We stayed overnight as we travelled south. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We ate dinner and breakfast and both were fantastic. Our room was lovely and the bed was comfy. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided.

We used public transport, so the regular train service to...
We used public transport, so the regular train service to Morpeth, and the regular bus service around the Northumberland coast, were much appreciated. Phoenix Taxis of Morpeth are very reliable and recommendable. We enjoyed the Stepping Stones over the river near to the B&B, and the Bagpipe Museum housed in the 14th century Chantry building. We had a great evening meal at "Pleased to meet you" in the High Street.

Lovely town, plenty of shops, cafes, Restaurants, pubs, nice walk through the park and along the river, Best Chinese take away from the fortune cookie located in the leisure centre car park (closed on a Monday).

Morpeth is such a lovely place to visit.
Morpeth is such a lovely place to visit. It has a really relaxed, family-friendly feel, with gorgeous gardens and parks, lovely walks and lots of little cafés to stop at along the way. It feels really welcoming and there’s plenty to do without it feeling too busy. Such a nice place to spend a day wandering around, especially as a family.

A very friendly Town, with a good variety of independent shops and very well connected by bus and rail. The 'Tap and Spile' and 'The Office' are particularly recommended for a drink and socialising. There is a massive antique centre in a keep on the way into Town from the South.

Morpeth is a lovely old farming town with castle, river and park. Great flowers throughout the town and lovely people. Plenty of places to eat and drink and good variety of shops. Good bus service to local towns and coast.

Morpeth is a very petty town located on the river.
Morpeth is a very petty town located on the river. There are lots of independent shops and if you buy a parking disc (£1) you can park in many places throughout Northumberland for free.
The town is centrally located to explore the area from beautiful coastal towns and villages to fascinating castles. I can recommend Alnwick Castle and boat trips from Seahouses. Cragside is a fabulous day out. The open top bus tour of Liverpool and the Millenium Bridge is also a great option. One week is not enough so we'll just have to come back again.

We loved the location and the house itself looked amazing inside. Only 20 minutes away from the seaside and Morpeth town centre was fantastic. House very modern and lovely size for 3 adults and a baby. Very flexible and helpful hosts, dropped off a high chair after it was requested and must have been forgotten and allowed us to book an extra night after plans changed and it meant we were going to be travelling a day earlier than planned..

Basic hotel with everything you need in the heart of Morpeth, having Morrisons next door was handy for breakfast. It was an ideal base as, we were attending a wedding nearby.
