Local attractions include The Wensleydale Creamery, Forbidden Corner and the historic Castle Bolton, just to name a few places within easy reach from Thoralby. Under ten minutes walk from the house is The Street Head, a typical Yorkshire Dales pub serving a choice of ales, good wholesome food and all whilst sitting by the open fire. There is a local convenience store in Aysgarth which sells everything you could need. For those who love fine dining, we are lucky enough to have The White Lion at Cray at around ten minutes drive from the house and also The Wensleydale Heifer at West Winton, again around ten minutes away by car. Both require reservations due to their popularity. Whether walking, cycling or you you simply want to get off the escalator of life by relaxing and unwinding, The Granary is the perfect location to do all of these things. Tuesday nights in Thoralby are Fish and Chip night. The local van which provides delicious fish and chips calls in at the village at 18:50 every Tuesday and is well worth a try.
