Ty Idris is located in a spectacular area of Mid Wales visitors come here for the local walks, mountain ranges, natural and man made waterfalls and lakes. Being very close to the English border with excellent road links to England it makes our property an easy location to just book and arrive without too much worry of getting lost in the Welsh countryside. We're especially lucky to have the river at the bottom of the garden which is an excellent feature that everyone loves. Inside the cottage, there's traditional beams on the ceiling, clean and comfortable furnishings, and all the basic amenities you'll need for a short stay. There's also freeview, freesat and wifi for guests who wish to use them, although most visitors are very much outdoorsy and prefer to head out for the day.

Ty Idris is lovingly cared for by myself and my family, we maintain everything ourselves and clean together, definitely a team effort. We also run one of the local pubs which most guests visit and happily have some interesting conversations about anything and everything! Although some guests like to keep to themselves which is not a problem. We have the usual dog, cats and horses which keep us all on our toes!

Nearby we have the famous Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall which attracts thousands of visitors through out the year. My personal favorite time of year to visit is when the weather is freezing cold, the icicles that form are amazing! Else where there's Lake Vyrnwy, a man made lake built for supply Liverpool with fresh water - which it still does to this day. Village wise - there's three pubs (2 cook food), two take aways, one newsagent, two grocery shops and a fantastic butcher.
