There is a tranquil private enclosed garden to relax in. Listen out for oystercatchers and curlews that can be heard calling from the river.Curlew Cottage, 11 Sun Lane is a quirky one bedroomed cottage, 2 minutes walk away from the local dog friendly pub (the red lion) and the centre of Woodbridge and a 5 minute walk from the banks of the lovely River Debden. It was built in 1830 and has recently been very tastefully restored for our family and other people to enjoy. It is steeped in local history and character. (please see the presentation cabinet upstairs which contains items that were uncovered during its most recent restoration) It has a modern well equipped kitchen and many C21st comforts : a log burning stove (logs and kindling provided),central heating, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, TV and WiFi. Please note it will not suit everyone’s taste due to its steep stairs and the slight slope in the bedroom floor. the fact remains those C19th stairs are steep and the cottage with all its eccentricities is not for those who might find such things challenging. There is normally free parking in the street outside or directly opposite the house. You are allowed to use Jewsons car park when they are closed which is from 5 pm to 8am on weekdays and they are closed from 12 on Saturdays and all day Sunday. There is also free parking on the Thoroughfare if you turn left at the bottom of Sun Lane, also parking in Debden road and if all else fails a car park close by in ...........
