Our Guest house located in Shida Kartli region, close to city Gori. This region is famous with wine and our place is surrounded with vineyards. The location of the vineyards is historically known as one of the oldest traditional wine terroirs and the only microzone where “Atenuri” wine originates from.Atenuri has been praised in medieval literature and has gained its fame as “the wine of the kings”, “better than any other” and “the noble” wine.It is to be noted that the Atenimicro zone was royal property since 10th century and was specifically used for vineyards by central government. (The inscription citing the King Bagrat IV on the wall of the Ateni Sioni says “I have created this stream bed”, implying the aqueduct system constructed for irrigation of the gorge during his reign). The first floor is a traditional marani – a wine cellar. The second floor and mansard represent furnished hotel rooms. (14 guests). To reach our house by car, you have to cross small river (It's impossible on spring) and need 4X4 car assistance and brave driver :) There is also foot-bridge on the river.

My name is Nika Vacheishvili, I am doctor in Architecture and art historian and I'm working in Ilia State university. Beside my scientific working, me and my family decide to built small house and guest house in one of the oldest and reach with culture region Shida Kartli, near to 7th century unique church Ateni's Sioni. 4 years ago, we started to produce our wine and now we produce 4 type of wine: Atenuri (white wine), Chinuri (white), Tavkveri (Red) and Khidistavuri (Roze). (Totaly we produce 3000 bottles of wine). Vineyards are sprayed with only contactbiologic medical products; land is cultivated by hand; fertilization by manure. Wine cellar offers: 1. Wine cellar acquaintance tour; 2. Distinctive, high-quality wine; 3. Delicious dinner from organic products on the terrace with amazing views; 4. Night stay.

Our place is located on the right bank of small river Tana, distanced from the village. Guest house and Marani (wine cellar) is only 10 minute walk away from magnificent temple of Ateni's Sioni and village itself, in the remarkable historic winemaking location, breathtaking setting with old vineyard terraces and gardens. The road to the cellar is a guaranteed unique experience that will fascinate the guests and leave great memories to reminisce.
