Maisonette Ianos is located at the beginning of Sergoula beach so it's a rather quiet neighborhood. Still, within a few minutes walk, you can reach the restaurants, cafes and bars of the area. A major attraction of the area is located on the next village Chania, 3km away, where you ride a sea taxi which takes you to Trizonia island. The fare is usually 1 Euro per person, the ride lasts about 10 minutes and Trizonia offer nice taverns, a small beach with beach bar and a nice church where many couples go to get married. Sights in the surrounding areas are countless. Ancient theaters, castles, natural beauty and mountain villages with stunning view and food. If you like day trips, you can comfortably visit Ioannina to eat on the picturesque lake, visit the island with a boat and then head to the castle for local dessert and Greek coffee. Better still visit the Voidomatis River for an adventurous rafting or simply to listen and get a feeling of the unique nature and the famous arched stone bridges around Voidomatis.
