They will be available to assist you and give you local tips in short notice. They also have one friendly dog that can be constricted at a big yard behind the house, if you don't feel comfortable with them around. It is very close, both to the airport and the port, and to many beautiful sandy beaches (Marathi, Kalathas, Stavros, Seitan limani) and places of interest (Venizelos tombs, Ag. Triada Monastery, Gouverneto etc). Restaurants, coffee shops, ATMs and super markets are 5 min drive. The car is recommended if you plan to explore Crete. There is bus service every 30 min from Chania to Pithari.
