Comfortable beds. Great view from the balcony. We took part in an evening excursion at the Astronomy cafe, it was very interesting. In addition, there were delicious cocktails and small gifts from a very kind and caring staff. Great accommodation for this price.

A beautiful and atmospheric facility located on the rocks by the sea, not far from Anthony Queena Bay. It is walking distance from the center of Faliraki. Well-equipped rooms with balconies providing enough space to rest for several people. A beautiful view of the sea. On the premises there is one of the attractions of Faliraki, the astronomical observatory. There is also atmospheric café decorated in an astronomical style, especialy beautiful after sunset. The owners are very friendly and helpful in a discreet, unobtrusive way. If I ever go back to Rhodes I will definitely stay at Astronomy Studios.

  • Hi! Is it possible to visit you without renting a car? Could I take a taxi from and back to Rhodes town and locally move around on foot? Thanks! Liis
    Hello, we are located in Faliraki up to the Hill Prophet Amos, you can take the Taxi it cost one way 35 euros to Rhodes, or you can go by foot to the next Bus station Mantomata (Nudist Beach), around 15 min. Thank you Melina

  • hi how can I travel from Falliraki? without renting a car can we travel by bus?

Our idea is astrotourism. The scenic location that the Hipparchus observatory complex is housed, offers at its guests the privilege of tranquility close to nature and breathtaking scenery. Priority for our guests is relaxation. The guest has the opportunity to live an experience of observational Astronomy with our instruments of "Hipparchus" observatory, observing the sun, moon, planets, nebulae, galaxies, and many other astronomical objects of the starry sky. Made with care in our star-garden the guest can observe uranography, even find out how a live sundial works and see a static geographical compass orientation. Welcome! Stergos Manolakas
The amateur observatory "Hipparchus" of Rhodes, gives the opportunity to visitors of all ages to experience an unforgettable tour of the beautiful sky of Rhodes. Which small child, or adult hasn't got the curiosity to observe with a telescope the moon and planets? The amateur observatory Hipparchus of Rhodes focuses on observation of the moon, planets and sun. Inside the 2.5 meters diameter dome you will experience, in the evening a memorable journey into the starry sky of Rhodes. During the day visitors can make equally interesting solar observations in a specially designed area for solar observation. The experience of observing the sun through special solar telescopes will leave you amazed. Our Solar telescopes are equipped with protective radiation filters IR / UV cut. We are equipped with a high resolution spectrograph for those interested in more sophisticated analyzes of sunlight. You will observe the solar spectrum dotted by hundreds of Fraunhofer absorption lines in the background of the magic colours of the iris (the rainbow!)
How to find us: The specificity of location for the best service, we recommend to renting transport. Coming the highway Rhodes Town-Lindos you are passing some trafficlights, then Faliraki Centre and the Church St. Nectarios. After about 150 meters are the next trafficlights where you branch off left and continue the street on the right, passing Evi-hotel and a small circle. Continue about 350 meters than go on the right side towards Liberia-Hotel, on the left there is a tenniscourt. After about 650 meters you will find a crossing here take the midst way, so you will find after about 250 meters two yellow buildings. Passing by take the street righthand up the hill.Then turn left. The guest has the opportunity to live an experience of observational Astronomy with our instruments of "Hipparchus" observatory, observing the sun, moon, planets, nebulae, galaxies, and many other astronomical objects of the starry sky. Made with care in our star-garden the guest can observe uranography, even find out how a live sundial works and see a static geographical compass orientation.
