The Rustic Art House is a true specimen of the preserved rural architecture, saved from oblivion - a real resting place from the every-day-life!. It is surrounded by a vast garden which further transforms into the forest. If you're lucky, you'll be able to see some wild animals, like dear, even entering the garden & for sure birds singing every morning! The sunrise & the sunset & myriad of the stars in the night will be shining here for you! You'll stay far away from any kind of pollution... The facility is situated in the heart of the island & the heart of the natural forest, so be prepared of various animals of different sizes! If you are not a big fan of Nature, maybe this house is not for you. The Adriatic sea is in every direction from the house approximately 15 min drive. There are 3 roads leading from Kras in 3 different direction - all leading towards the sea & the beaches. There are also various forest paths for hiking & biking. In the forest you can find abandoned villages & old churches & much more! The forest is also full of edible Mediterranean plants & spices.

Both, the owner of the house Dunja & the manager Nikica, are vegetarian & don't really approve meat & fish diet so we would be much happier if you don't use non-vegetarian food but we're not forbidding it. Also both of us, we're passionate artists & creators, so you can expect ad hoc changes on the property so we apologize in advance for not totally fulfilling your expectations in similarity with the photos - most likely only some small interventions might be made, like decorations in & around the house. The basic content of the house will not be changed & nothing will be missing, what the guest paid for. Aside of the house, a smaller house is situated where the manager of the house - Nikica - a multimedia artist and a man of many interests & knowledges will be living & will probably be of your assist when needed. Dunja won't be there but Nikica will surely be living in the small house. He's a traveler, photographer, writer, music performer, multimedia artist, jewelry designer, plant & mushroom picker, but also a true indigenous knowing the history of the area & can give you useful advice what to see, to do or where to go. Also teach you about the local plants & mushrooms...

Directly in the property garden, children will have plenty of space to play, swing, run or have fun in the puppet theater. The pets will definitely enjoy too but in case you have a dog, you will probably need to keep it on the leash cause sheep & cows live freely on the island & their owners are not happy when seeing dogs chasing their cattle! There are various forest paths for hiking & cycling all around the island. In the center of Kras, there's a small shop for groceries but 7-8 km further in Malinska there are 3 huge supermarkets which offer much more. Next to the shop, a children playground, outdoor gym, basketball & mini football court are situated. Around the village is possible to find local products like wine, cheese, honey & olive oil.
