It is a calm and peaceful house set amidst idyllic village surrounding, five minutes walk from the river, Bharathapuzha, with its yellow sands and waving grass, when the river is not full. The green covering assures there are plenty of birds and squirrels you can watch and idle away. It is also an ideal place for young professionals to stay longer periods for a WFH staycation. The property is a renovated house that retains the old-world charm together with modern amenities for people seeking a rustic old-world experience. I occasionally stay on the property on my visits and am keen to share my experiences with my guests who would like to enjoy the calm laid-back life of the village, far from the madding crowd. The river which is a 5-minute walk from our place is an ideal place for long and leisurely walks and also for chilling out in the shallow waters when the river is not in spate. Reportedly, the place has helped to improve productivity at work for those who stayed for longer periods to complete their projects :)
I am a retired banker, settled in Mumbai. I love this village house of mine and am keen to share the experience with people who look forward to the rustic experience. I am passionate about education, especially for the underprivileged children. To that end, I am actively involved in teaching English, Maths and Holistic Living to children from a slum locality in Mumbai.
It is a quiet village with beautiful scenery amd enchanting walks. The Kerala Kalamandalam, Ceruthuruthy is about 4 Kms. from our place. Guruvayoor Temple, Vadakkunnathan Temple etc are all about 45 minutes drive from our place.
