Litla Hlid is a cosy country cottage with beautiful farm and mountain view. It is a home away from home where you are surrounded by sheep, cow´s, horses and chicken´s. The location is unique as this is the last farm in the valley before the rocky and bedazzling highland road Sprengisandur takes over.
Marta and Addi are farmers in Litla Hlíð. Their main focus has been on sheep´s but they also keep cow´s, Icelandic horses, chickens few cat´s and a couple of dogs. They love having visitors over and showing Iceland and it´s beautiful nature.
If you are a true nature lover and seek peace and quiet, then Litla Hlid is the perfect place for you. The cottage is in a grassy valley surrounded by mountains. Easy to medium hikes can be taken from the cottage, Hrutagil canyon is about 5 KM away and we highly recommend taking a hike up there. Fishing is another popular option in the area, just remember to apply for your fishing permit before arrival.
