The Ostiense district is located in the southern part of Rome, bordered by the Aurelian Walls and the Tiber River, as well as by the neighboring districts of Testaccio and San Saba (north), Ardeatino (east), EUR (south), and Portuense (west). Ostiense is a pleasant neighborhood to visit, combining the familiar atmosphere of the district with the vibrancy of Roman life. It connects the city center to the more peripheral areas, thanks in part to the strong presence of public transportation in the area. The neighborhood is also home to the University of Rome III, making it a popular spot for both Roman students and those from other areas. Ostiense is a lively district with a distinct cultural identity, offering numerous opportunities to enjoy nightlife, art, fine dining, shopping in local markets, and much more, all without the frenetic pace of other districts.
