Casa Caldareccia is a beautiful and rustic space comprising three accommodations RENTED AS A SINGLE UNIT. You will have exclusive access to the swimming pool (10x4 mt), the outdoor veranda to enjoy the most of the meals with a breeze, the private garden and the large solarium terrace that embraces the entire perimeter of the pool, giving the perception of diving into the greenery in front of you. Casa Caldareccia can accommodate up to 8 people, divided into 3 types of accommodations. Each one comes equipped with: WiFi connection, linens and towels. Guests will have at their disposal: sunbeds, deckchairs, umbrellas and a barbecue. 1. CHALET with private bathroom (4 people: 1 double bed/ 1 double sofa bed) An open space wooden house with a living area of 60 sqm, provided with: a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area with a table for 8 people, 1 bathroom with shower, a living room with a double sofa bed and a sleeping area with 1 double bed and a large wardrobe. This accommodation comes with air condition to offer a comfortable stay even on the hottest days of the summer, whereas in the winter it is heated with an electric heating system. Just outside the chalet’s entrance there is the swimming pool and a cozy veranda with a table for 8 people overlooking the sea view. 2. GLASS ROOM with private bathroom (2 people: 1 French bed) Romantic double bedroom of 30 smq with: a French bed (130 x 210 cm), a private bathroom with shower and a washing machine. It comes with A/C and an electric heater for a comfortable stay all over the year. On the back there is a garden available for guests. 3. TREE HOUSE with private bathroom (2 people: 1 double bed) Magical tree house with panoramic views of the hills of Lucca. Built by Lorenzo, it consists of: a bedroom with bathroom (the Carrara marble sink was carved by Lorenzo), shower and a small coffee table. Outside there is a terrace with a table and chairs where you can sit to read a book among the branches of the trees.

I was born in a valley of the Apuan Alps. Since I was a small child I learned to respect the mountains and internalized their significance. My mother instilled upon me the sensitivity I have for the beauty of these mountains; my father taught me to respect them. After many years of research and study, traveling from city to city, I have realized how much those mountains meant to me. Therefore, I have chosen marble from these mountains to manifest my reality and express my creativity. Like the roots of a tree, a sculpture is born from the earth. I was exposed to art from an early age. I studied Painting at Central Saint Martin's School of Art in London and Figure Drawing and Urban Landscape at Art Institute of Chicago before embarking on years of formative travels, gathering creative inspirations at artist residences in far flung places like Rwanda, Israel, Bosnia, Ireland and Brazil. Returning to my home town of Carrara, Italy, I enrolled in the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara and spent several years working as resident sculptor in the iconic marble emporiums in and around Carrara and Pietrasanta area. Thanks to my work I have the opportunity to travel a lot. My sculptures have been exhibited throughout Italy and in many public and commissioned projects in California, Australia, China, Brazil, France, Ireland, Israel, Estonia, Rwanda and Bosnia. In 2014 I started to transform my residence into a magical place, in harmony and intimacy with the surrounding nature, creating a scenography of sculptures to offer our guests the chance to inspire themselves in a unique and special dimension for a relaxing country retreat. Due to the way the space is structured, you will not notice my presence, I have a private entrance and I leave the main outdoor spaces available only for the guests. I live in the red Villa and I’m always available if there will be anything you could need during your stay.

Near the property there are some typical restaurants, bars and groceries. On the same day you can decide whether to go to the seaside or to the mountains. There are beautiful rivers and lakes where you can swim immersed in the purest nature of our valleys. In just 10 minutes drive you can reach the center of Camaiore, while the main seaside resorts like: Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore, the natural reserve of San Rossore and Torre del Lago Puccini are only 20 minutes away. Due to its geographical position, the house is the perfect base for visiting the most famous cultural centers of Tuscany. The historical cities of Lucca and Pietrasanta are 30 minutes from the property. Cinque Terre, Florence, Garfagnana are about 1 hour drive, while Pisa, Montecarlo, Montecatini Terme and many other sightseeing are within a 40 minutes drive away.
