Owner Noel Rodrigo and his team of naturalists are all experts in their field and are eager to share their knowledge about Sri Lanka’s flora and fauna with you. All Game drives are done in their own customised Toyota Land Cruiser safari jeeps with wildlife books, binoculars, and snacks and refreshments on board.

Green. Authentic. Wild. Leopard Safaris Yala is a family-run Luxury Safari camp, located in a 10-acre jungle land off Kataragama and bordering Yala National Park in the West. Eco-friendliness and Sustainability are at the heart of the operation and can be seen in every detail. The campsite was built with semi-permanent structures, using natural and recycled materials such clay and off-cut timber, and is run mainly on solar power. Meals are freshly prepared using local produce and the chef is always happy to cater to any special dietary needs. Leopard Safaris' campsite features al fresco dinging in changing locations, a chill-out lounge/wildlife library/jungle bar, a salt water eco pool, a children play area, hammocks and swing chairs, a vegetable garden, bonfires in the night. All rates based on All-inclusive packages that include accommodation, all meals and drinks, 1 safaris per day, park entrance fees, various activities at the camp (e.g. cooking classes, guided nature walks, amateur photography classes, children games and projects) and the participation in their tree planting project in order to off-set the CO2 produced by their guests travels to Sri Lanka.

Neighbourhood information

Its convenient location (10 minutes drive to Yala Block I . back entrance and 25 minutes drive to Yala Block III, IV and V entrance) makes it the perfect base for your safaris, while enabling to avoid tourist crowds from the Block I main entrance. Leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, spotted deer, wild boar, monkeys, a vast array of birdlife including many endemic, and many more are among the diverse wildlife that can be spotted on safari. All Game drives are done in their own customised Toyota Land Cruiser safari jeeps with wildlife books, binoculars, and snacks and refreshments on board.
