I can only agree fully with the many positives of other guests. Although The accommodation is quite simple and is basically a camping in an unique setting, everything works, the beds are comfortable, with good mosquito nets, it is very clean. Breakfast and dinner are both outstanding. In the night it is totally quiet - except for the elephant that came to munch banana trees one night. The price is right for the accommodation. The price for breakfast and dinner is very fair. The real standout however is the owner Bathyia who is an absolute gem. On our sri lanka trip we met many kind, hospitable, engaged people but I can’t imagine how a host can be more engaged, more open, more welcoming, more relaxed, more professional or more accessible than Bathiya. We did a half day safari in Yala and the evening bird safari with him and he made it our favorite day of one month travel in sri lanka.

Bhagya welcomed us very well and is an extremely friendly host. I honestly think the pictures do not do this guesthouse justice. You have a very comfortable bed, really nice hot shower, great airconditioning and plenty of space in the room itself. Besides, you are completely surrounded by nature. We even ate jackfruit, mangos, coconut and bananas which Bhagya all cut from his own garden and which his mother prepared for us. She made us the most delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner! The safari in this part of the park is very enjoyable too, there were only about 10 jeeps during our morning safari. I hear from others that the other entrances have 50+ jeeps at the same spot looking at the animals... Either way, this place is a must visit for people that want to get away from busy spots and want to be surrounded by nature. Keep your eye out during the evening for flying foxes, elephants and much more wildlife! Thank you Bhagya (and family)!!

This place is the definition of a getaway. truly remote. Never thought I'd experience this side of Sri Lanka on this holiday. Very nature based, local food, got to speak to the people in the villages on how they cultivate their crops, went on a very scenic bike ride with friends in the evening with the best views. The RIVER! wow loved every bit of it. We spent around 3 hours here and had a final dip before leaving the next day too. The water flowing over the shoulders felt like a free spa treatment.

Peace and tranquility in beautiful surroundings! Only us and the young couple who looked after us. We stayed in the upper chalet which also had beds out on the balcony, fabulous for chill time and laying out under the stars at night.

The staff and the location was amazing. They were extremely helpful, and polite even though we gave them hard times with our significant amount of beer consumption hehe. The location is good, if you want to enjoy the nature and not being in the overcrowded Ella (which is only 20 mins by car, but organizing a driver was always easy). I can just recommend this hotel
