Over 20 years guiding people from around the world I discovered the interest and beauty of my own country through the eyes of my travel companions. As we travelled people would say; “Moha, you should do something to protect this wonderful and unique heritage.” This planted the seed of my dream which took form as I journeyed through the country, often humming the tune of Brassens’ ‘La Jeanne’. By 2009 I was able to send out the plans to my many friends and contacts. Encouragement and ideas flowed in from all over the world. Kind and generous friends were willing to help financially, making it much easier. After five years of hard work the construction was finally completed and a real, authentic casbah had been built. The granting of the licence in Dec 2013 was the best New Year present. I am very proud of the final result and I must thank every one of the people who helped me, without them the project would never have been completed. My Casbah is located between the Dades Gorge, the Valley of the Roses, the Todra Gorge and the Anti-Atlas mountains. Please visit us to experience a true Berber hospitality.
