This Riad was once part of the palace grounds and used to host guests. The renovation was done respecting tradition and bringing in much-appreciated comforts such as air conditioning in every room and en-suite bathrooms. The three bedrooms are downstairs and disposed around a cosy and stylish courtyard. Two are regular sized double bedrooms and the third one is very generous in space and possible to set up as double or twin bedroom. The 1st floor features a guest bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a stunning living room with TV with international channels, fireplace, and a quiet reading corner. The kitchen and living room can be reached through the inside of the building or the lovely veranda around the courtyard. Help yourself to the coffee machine and kettle, any time of the day on us. The 2nd floor is also the first level of the split terrace. There are a seating area and table for your outdoor meals, courtesy of Marrakech's fair weather as well as an equipped massage room. We'll be happy to book a massage for you. The upper level is probably the most eagerly used part of the house: sunbeds and jacuzzi are the perfect combo to relax, enjoy the sun and the stunning views.
As a host, I feel that first impressions are very important and so I love to give a warm personal welcome to the guests, respecting traditional Moroccan hospitality with mint tea and pastries. I'll explain the main features of the house and how to use the facilities along with a few dos and don'ts that are essential for everybody's safety and enjoyment. I'll also give valuable tips on how to best enjoy Marrakesh and surroundings. I'll be available throughout the stay for more tips or to deal with any questions that may come up. I'll also come for check-out (depending on availability) to collect keys and opinions and experiences regarding the house and its management. Your feedback is very important!
The Kasbah is one of the southern Medina neighbourhoods but it stands out for its safety and cleanliness due to the proximity to the Royal Palace. As you’ll see the location of the Riad, like many other places in the medina, feels like a little village within a larger city. Local families leave here as they have lived for generations. The neighbourhood is very lively and close to some of the most important monuments of the Medina such as Bahia Palace, Badi Palace, Saadian Tombs, Bab Agnaou and Dar Si Said just a bit further away. There are several nice cafes and restaurants for different tastes and budgets as well as very interesting shopping places such as designer shops but also a large spice market. There is also an impressive choice range for a SPA and the area is home to some of the most stunning and highly rated SPA in the city. The Riad is about 15min away by foot from the Square Jema El Fna and the souks. It is also easy to get in and out with a taxi either from Café Clock (very close by) or Bab Qsiba (about 5min away by foot). NOTE that the Riad is located at a dead-end alley and therefore a car cannot come to the door. The area is well lit at night.
