Hi there! We are Heather and Carl, the owner operators of NSR (a vacation rental and real estate company located inside the Hacienda Iguana Resort). The surf, culture and beauty of Nicaragua has kept us living here since 2006. While we carve out plenty of time to enjoy life along the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua, you can often find us and our team working hard to ensure our guests have an outstanding vacation. Zen Casita is a piece of paradise located in the Hacienda Iguana development! This cozy 2BR/2BA house with detached, spacious studio and private swimming pool is conveniently located a very short walk to the Beach Club and the Playa Colorado surf break. The main house is designed with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and cozy living room. The living room offers a comfortable couch, AC, TV and large sliding glass doors that lead out to the tranquil back yard. Here you will find tropical landscaping, private swimming pool and a palapa which is the perfect place for practicing yoga. The kitchen offers a breakfast bar for casual dining. The spacious dining table comfortably seats 6 and is also an ideal location for playing the fun games provided to guests. The master bedroom of the main house features a king bed and private bathroom. The guest bedroom contains two twin beds, which can be converted into a king bed upon request. The detached, spacious and newly constructed studio offers a kitchenette, private bathroom, queen bed, comfortable couch and a TV. The property is equipped with hot water & AC in all bedrooms and the living room.

This house is located within the Hacienda Iguana development, which is known for its world-class surf breaks. There are 4 surf breaks within walking distance- Playa Colorado, Panga Drops and Los Perros are in the neighborhood and Playa Amarillo is to the south of Playa Colorado (walkable at low tide). We also have a beautiful 9-hole golf course. The course is well designed, beautifully maintained and very affordable to guests. There are several great food options within the Hacienda Iguana development and many other good restaurants nerby. Other businesses in the Hacienda Iguana community include a Spa, 2 small convenience stores with a variety of grocery items and an ATM is located on the property. Other activities in the development include yoga, horseback riding and in-home massage is also available. We have a well merchandised store (NSR Surf Shop) located inside the Hacienda Iguana development, which offers souvenirs, surf accessories, clothing, beach towels, flip flops, sunscreen, sunglasses, swimsuits, wet suit vests and tops, rash guards and more! We also rent scooters, dirt bikes, surfboards, boogie boards and SUPs out of this location as well.
