The area is particularly well known for its fantastic and snow-sure network of trails for cross-country skiing enthusiasts, and the snow stays here for a long time. The Trillemarka-Rollagsfjell nature reserve and the bear park by the Hallingdals river with bears, moose, lynx and exotic animals are also great destinations for a day trip.
