    “Lovely, clean, modern beach cabin and surrounding gardens, very close to the beach. There is an outdoor (as well as indoor) shower and outdoor bath. Didn’t get a chance to use all the facilities but there was a lot on offer.”

    “The location was awesome. Unfortunately it was really windy but we were fairly sheltered. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Being so close to the beach was a huge bonus as we love the sea. There were lovely extras like Whittaker...”

Summer or winter, sunny Kowhai Landing is the perfect couples retreat. Romantic, private, and oh-so-close to the beach - you'll leave this place rejuvenated and relaxed. A classic Kiwi cabin in a town that still feels like the beach places of old, this small but practical layout has a kitchenette and ensuite. In addition, there is a large private BBQ deck, hot outdoor shower, and bath. This is a place to get away from it all. For self-catering the kitchenette has crockery and utensils for four, a toaster, jug, and an air-fryer. The BBQ on the outside deck has a gas burner for boiling and a grill and hotplates. Outdoor cushions for the BBQ furniture are under the bed. The brand-new Queen bed has a feather duvet and cotton sheets. Towels provided. The 1.8m couch does fold out to a short double bed to accommodate a third guest if needed. There is a caravan outlet outside to the left of the cabin for power for a caravan or motorhome. Extra guests and use of this outlet by arrangement only. Late checkout by negotiation.
Welcome to Kowhai Landing. We are excited to share our little slice of paradise with you.
This location is at the quiet northern end of Ōtaki Beach and the beach is across the road from the property. Less than an hour's drive from Wellington with two lanes each way. There is a dairy that also sells fish and chips and a coffee shop; Te Church, within walking distance. 5minutes up the road in the main township there is a supermarket and an abundance of takeaways.
