The Cowshed is a 1 bedroom unit classic cottage. Located in Russell’s Wairoro Park and shared between 6 dwellings across 64 hectares, both you and your pets are welcome to enjoy the large native grounds and private beach. This is an ideal option for a peaceful getaway to the stunning Bay of Islands. The Cowshed is a cosy self-contained one bedroom cottage with small ensuite (no bath), small well equipped kitchen, covered deck and BBQ. Spend days at the private beach onsite. Set yourself up at the picnic table or enjoy the complimentary Kayaks and paddle board. Be sure to keep watch for Kiwi and Weka living in the surrounding native bush. The Point House also has a large rural property with facilities shared between guests accommodation. The Russell to Okiato walk crosses the rear of the property and offers spectacular ocean views. For a taste of the local wine Omata vineyard is next door to this expansive site. If you’re coming across from the Opua ferry, this tranquil holiday park is situated just 2km away. Head over to Russell for the day, just 7 minutes drive and while your there jump on the ferry to Paihia. For a piece of New Zealand, Waitangi is less than 5 minutes from Paihia. Be sure to bring your furry friend along on holiday to relax at The Cowshed - Wairoro Park with you. The perfect location for your next escape. Please note that there is a 1.5 km gravel driveway into Wairoro Park, with a max speed limit of should closely supervise young children to ensure that they do not climb the horizontal wooden slats in the deck the property has unfenced access to ponds, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
