Our newly refurbished apartment is very bright and cozy, designed to make you feel like at home. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, 1.2 km from the city centre - easy stroll through the town park. The main town beach is approximately 15 min walk away. The town's lake Niegocin, the market with fresh produce from the local farmers, shops, restaurants, the hospital and pharmacies are conveniently located within walking distance. The kitchen has all the amenities, including fridge & freezer, kettle, oven, pots and pans, plates, glasses, cups, cutlery etc. You will also find coffee, sugar, cooking oil, salt & pepper for you to use. The bedroom contains a double bed, a wardrobe and a dressing table. The sofa in the dining room will fit 2 people. You will find fresh towels in the shower/ toilet room. The bathroom, like the rest of the flat, is finished to a high standard with a nice power shower for you to enjoy. Please note the apartment is on the first floor and there is no lift available. If you would like to work from Gizycko for a longer period of time please check our weekly and monthly rates. It includes fibre optic broadband up to 300 Mb/s. Due to the high demand in the summer overall stay is minimum 4 nights however in some occasions shorter stay might be also accepted.
Born in the nearby town in the Mazury region, Gizycko has always been my favourite town in Poland's lake district. I love travelling and exploring and wanted to make this apartment a happy place I'd like to stay.
Mazury region in Poland is called 'a land of one thousand lakes'. Mazury, especially the lakes Niegocin and Mamry, are a paradise for sailors. There are plenty of cycling routes to choose from, also walking, running, swimming and, of course, sunbathing! If you're into history, Boyan Fortress, a former Prussian fortress from WWI is located in the western part of Gizycko, minutes away from the city centre. The renowned Mamerki bunkers, the best preserved in Poland complex of German bunkers from WWII, are a short drive away (~20km from Gizycko). The Wolf's Lair, Hitler's private Headquarter, is located in Gierłoż, 36km away.
