This apartment is located in a historic building that was once Dr. Friedrich Brucks' private clinic, adjacent to his house at Bahnhofstrasse 3 (currently Al. Niepodległości 7). Expanded in 1924/1925, it once had 40 hospital beds. Today, after many years, little of the original interior remains, and besides apartments, the building also houses several institutions."

The present Al. Niepodległości came into being in connection with the introduction of railway tracks into Zielona Góra and the construction of the station. Initially, the street was named Bahnhofstraße, which translates to "Station Street" in Polish. Before that, as various sources indicate, it was just a sandy path, but from 1871, a road was planned, which over time became the most prestigious street in the city by the late 19th century. Affluent residents of the then Grünberg built their villas or townhouses on the designated plots. After the war, there was an idea to demolish buildings that didn't fit the new regime. Fortunately, someone wise proposed creating a parallel (competitive) street to overshadow this relic of pre-war inequality. This gave rise to one of the main post-war arteries of Zielona Góra - today's Bohaterów Westerplatte Street. It was only in the late 1990s that Al. Niepodległości began to regain its splendor. Today, you can admire the renovated buildings, sit on one of the benches, and enjoy the charm of Zielona Góra's promenade. You can also take advantage of the cultural offerings. Al. Niepodległości is home to the Lubuski Theatre, the Lubusz Land Museum, the BWA Gallery, the State Music School I and II degree, as well as the Nysa Cinema.
