Hi there, I am your host Deb. This property has been in my family for more than 25 years and we used to enjoy our family holidays in the Algarve here. I have lived in the Algarve for 15 years now and started to rent the property after renovating it in spring 2023. I live off site in Porches but I am just ten minutes away if guests need any help. I manage the place directly with my husband, Martin so it is a matter of personal pride to us that the property is well maintained and immaculately clean for our guests. We provide you with lots of essentials like our welcome pack, toiletries, beach towels, beach toys if you are bringing children and lots of lovely towels. I have been retired here since 2008 and was previously a director of a high technology company. I really love the peace and quiet and the efficient but unhurried lifestyle here in the Algarve. Martin is a photographer and if you are interested we are sure that you will love the light here in the Algarve. Number 82 is located in the small “urbanisation” of Areia dos Moinhos (sand of the windmills) just above the lovely village of Carvoeiro. This is a quiet neighbourhood with a mixture of townhouses and villas. Some people here are in permanent homes, others spend summers here in second homes and some rent properties at some times of the year. You can walk to Carvoeiro in fifteen minutes, easily drive or get an Uber or Taxi . There are plenty of Uber / Bolt rides and a large taxi rank in Carvoeiro. Carvoeiro A family friendly small seaside town with everything you want and nothing that you don´t! Three roads lead in and out and all meet at the “Lago da Praia” (beach square) just keep going downhill and you are certain to find the beach. Boat trips You can take a boat trip to visit the caves along the coast right off the beach. From nearby Portimao you can enjoy dolphin watching tours and also travel on the “Santa Bernada” pirate ship which you will see passing Carvoeiro beach around 3PM Boardwalk A large boardwalk offers spectacular ocean views and runs between Algar Seco and the church. Be sure to take a camera. Restaurants There are many good restaurants offering everything from traditional Portuguese fare to more upmarket eateries and diverse cuisines such as Indian, Chinese and Nepalese. Bars There are many bars in town, all safe, from upmarket to plastic chairs on the pavement. At night a number of bars offer live music and karaoke Beaches Carvoeiro beach is right there at the bottom of the town with flat sand in a curving bay You can also walk to Centeanes beach with a beach restaurant where you can even dine on the sand right above the beach. Further afield ( Five Km) we have Praia da Marinha with world-class cliffs and “windows” or Albadeira with the famous arch. If you have a car, head inland to Monchique or hit the waves with the dudes on the West Coast
