We offer two beautiful bright rooms for short term rent in our finally finished apartment, taol, located on the top floor of a two-storey house in Vila Nova de Gaia, five minutes walk from Devesas train station, one with a double bed and private bathroom with shower accessible from the hallway, the other with two single beds and shared bathroom with shower. The use of the kitchen equipped for cooking with a table for four people and the large terrace is included. Here you can sit down, maybe with a book or your mobile phone and a drink - and listen to the Gaien backyard life. In the front part of the flat there is a room we use for yoga and meditation. The doors to this room can be closed so that the privacy of the guests in the kitchen and on the terrace will not be affected. Guests can participate in yoga when classes are taking place and if there is still space available. When the meditation room is not occupied, it can be used by the guests. (We ask that you do not wear shoes in the meditation room.) There is access to a small sunny balcony facing the street. There is paid parking in the street and a number of free parking spaces in the side streets. There are good public transport connections.

The flat is located in the non-gentrified Devesas. Hopefully it will stay that way. The neighbourhood is characterised by portwine warehouses, residential houses and local crafts. Cafés, shops, post office, pharmacy, supermarket and the train station are all nearby. From the station you can take a train, using your metro ticket, and go to the next stop at General Torres station, from there the city centre of Porto is three metro stops away. There is a bus stop almost on the doorstep with a direct bus connection to Porto. It takes less than fifteen minutes to walk to the port wine cellars on the Douro River, from where you have a beautiful view of the D. Luís Bridge and the Ribeira of Porto and may plan your day.
