Experience the canal with its imposing locks and explore the "Gammelgården" in Bengtsfors, western Sweden's largest open-air museum. Borgåsgubben and the Glaskogen nature reserve are also good excursion destinations. There is an old railroad not far from the house where you can hire a trolley and ride along the track. The surrounding area offers excellent swimming and fishing opportunities and there is a large shopping center in Töcksfors.
