Baan Aomjai is at the end of a residential cul-de-sac street. It's surrounded by old coconut trees. The best swimming pool and fitness gym is a short 350-meter walk from our place. There are several excellent restaurants and diners within walking distance. Only eight residential properties are on our dead-end street so there is practically no traffic on this road. One of our neighbors drives a motorbike-sidecar ("saa-ling") taxi so it's easy to get a taxi anytime. We also have motorbikes for rent. We are also within walking distance of two large shopping malls (Tesco Lotus and HomePro). Each unit is a stand-alone bungalow, equipped with appliances and TV. There is a spacious lounge lanai (sala) equipped with games, wifi and stereo for communal use. We also have a large open kitchen in the lanai for party and general cooking. We are a Thai and Vietnamese-American couple who have settled in Prachuap Khiri Khan after traveling around Southeast Asia for several years. We have lived in Prachuap for over 5 years. We speak English, Thai, Viet and Laos. For our sensibilities, Prachuap is the best place in Thailand for food, climate, scenery, culture, value, beach and safety. Fa (Srisuda) is Thai. She is the property and staff manager. Mac (Andrew) is the tech and handyman. Fa enjoys badminton and cycling. Mac is an avid tennis player, swimmer and cyclist. Both are regular beach bums and devoted foodies.
