This quiet, upscale neighborhood is a safe place to stay for any traveler, including female solo travelers who may not feel comfortable in Downtown Redding or Lake Blvd. areas. The 20-minute walk to Bethel Church is a beautiful stroll on an unused country road. A 20-minute walk in the opposite direction get you to grocery stores like Trader Joe's and Sprouts and a Mexican restaurant, a coffeeshop, bakery, Brewhouse and a seafood/Ramen restaurant. Walk for an additional 5 minutes for the Mt. Shasta Mall and several more eating options, like Chick-fil-A, Tea Bar, Starbucks, and a Thai restaurant. We have enough parking in the driveway for two large cars. It's best to get around by car, although many places are walkable from the house, too. Share-ride services like Uber can be unreliable in Redding.
