Elk Mountain Ski Resort area Cabin on 21 acres of beautiful farm land with mountain views. 5 miles (9 minutes) from the ski mountain and DIRECT access to Rails to Trails (D&H Trail). Walk, run, or ride your bike/snowmobile from the back door directly onto the trail. Warm up in front of the wood stove in this charming ski chalet on a massive private piece of paradise. All custom pine interior with modern amenities. There isn't a more connected rental.
Jia (husband) and Li (wife) live in Florida for almost 30 years. Jia moved to Switzerland in the 80s to pursue his PhD in Lausanne. We lived in Switzerland for (6) years, during that time we were able to travel a lot by train through western Europe. After a brief time in Singapore we moved to Florida, where we currently live. We love this property because of the rustic and cozy feel along with the beautiful mountain view. It’s the country getaway that we were looking for. We hope you'll enjoy this piece of paradise as much as we have. Always available by phone and email with neighbors close by.
One of the biggest attractions in this area is Elk Ski Mountain which was named Best Overall Mountain in the Mid-Atlantic Region. With 180 skiable acres and 27 trails, skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels will feel right at home on the mountain. In addition, D&H Trail is about 40 miles long and accessible right in the backyard of the cabin. Great for biking or running. Also there are a few lakes around for boating, fishing, kayaking. State game lands all around for hunters. No Public Transit You must bring your own vehicle. Uber/Lyft will be very unlikely in this area.
