Sweet lil shack. Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this unique place. This is a space to get away from it all and enjoy nature. Trails to many parks are just outside the door north and south of us. We have highway 101 frontage- the noise bothers some people(earplugs for night time provided- **located in top desk door**). Most people say it’s worth the noise to be so close to the park and hiking trails. The noise is more busy during the high travel/logging seasons. NO TV/NO WIFI (there is free wifi down the road at local elementary school) YES CELL SERVICE PARKING 2 car limit on grassy area, parallel to highway. PLEASE PARK closer to the white fence Guests must not block drive way at any time. HEATING: there is an electric fireplace heater. **IMPORTANT NOTE** If we have a power outage(which does happen in the winter sometimes) there is no option currently for heat. KITCHENETTE: there is an electric water kettle, coffee filters, single cup drip coffee, no coffee ground provided, toaster oven, two burner electric hotplate, silverware, dish-ware for two, minimal pots and pan provided, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar. **sometimes ants can be a problem. please clean up after cooking/fixing food and keep food scraps in the fridge in bags provided in the kitchen drawer. We prefer not to poison traps and have learned to just live with them by thoroughly cleaning up and they leave us alone. BATHROOM: full shower and small bathtub, toilet is a toilet tank sink(to preserve space and water) *see toilet pic for reference** **there is a dehumidifier that we ask is please kept running at all times unless during the night if it is disturbing. So much moisture in our area helps keep it out of the studio. **MAY ENCOUNTER POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ANIMALS** we have elk occasionally in the yard. Our property is butted up against a hillside; when the berries come out in the summertime we sometimes have brown bears in the backyard nibbling.

I like to hike & bike & walk on the beach. I like to read and do crossword puzzles. I like to see a good movie occasionally but don't like living with screens. I like hosting because it allows people an opportunity to visit my favorite places. I like to give guests their privacy but I am available by txt if needed until about 9pm

Rural area, close to State and National Parks. Minutes from the Pacific Ocean. We are located across the highway from where Redwood Creek and Prairie Creek meet. Good ocean and river fishing access just near by at Freshwater Lagoon, Big Lagoon, or Dry Lagoon. Orick Market: small/basic, somewhat limited grocery store just down the road **we advise getting groceries before you check-in if your planning to cook as more food selection is 1/2hour South and 1hour North. However also *NOTE* only tiny fridge available here. Post office next to the grocery store
