Take in a commanding view of the surrounding hills and redwoods from this beautifully positioned home in Orick, where the wrap-around deck, the grassy lawn, and the light-filled living space overlook the Redwood Creek valley below. Whether you have come to fish the Six Rivers, hunt, surf fish, or beach comb, this will be the perfect home base. A prime home base for exploring Redwood National and State Parks, this hillside home is just a few miles from such landmarks as Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Fern Canyon, and wild ocean beaches. Welcoming you home from your daily excursions is an open living space that's lined with windows, allowing you to take in the view whether you're watching TV or setting the table for dinner. The kitchen is beautifully equipped with stainless steel appliances (including a French-door refrigerator, a six-burner gas range, and a dishwasher) and a breakfast bar. As the sun illuminates the valley each evening, you can bring a bottle of wine out the wrap-around deck, sear steaks on the gas grill, and dine at the picnic table in the shade of the umbrella. There's also a firepit encircled by log stools if you're looking to roast s'mores for dessert. Back inside, you'll find one bedroom on the main floor and two bedrooms - including an expansive primary suite - upstairs. Additional amenities include a private laundry room and free WiFi. THINGS TO KNOW Please note: the wood stove has been removed from the home. The caretaker will provide firewood if it is requested by guests, for the fire pit (pending season and weather). Please note: We have good internet, but this is a rural area. Weather and Carrier Services can cause a loss or reduction in signal. If you require internet for work or medical needs we strongly encourage you to bring a personal hotspot.
