This was the pastor's apartment in the rear of a deconsecrated church in the Marigny. It includes two private bedrooms, each with an ensuite full bathroom; a common area with a leather sofa, and an open kitchen. Guests will have the entire place to themselves. Walk down the side alley of a castle-like church, through an arched cedar doorway and into a lush shade garden to the pastor's apartment, which has sliding glass doors looking out onto the garden. The pastor's apartment is tiled in natural terra-cotta with a hardwood flooring from the original church office recycled and clapped on the ceiling. Far from the street, this is a peaceful and quite apartment located in the heart of the hip Marigny neighborhood, walking distant from countless cafes and restaurants, the bars and music venues of St Claude, Frenchmen and the French Quarter. It is ground-level so it's perfect for people with mobility issues. The pastor's apartment shares the same entrance with the owner's apartment above it. There is a washer and dryer under the stairs past the bicycle parking that you are free to use.

Sasha grew up in the New York suburbs and when he first came to New Orleans as an 18 year old, it was love at first sight. He moved here the following year, in 1999. Other than 3 semesters spent studying in NY, he's been here ever since. Sasha has lived mostly in the French Quarter, Marigny, Bywater, and Lower 9th Ward. He worked in the City's Restaurant and Music scene, gay bar circuit, and studied Louisiana history at Tulane University; so, he can answer any questions you might have about the city. Franco, Sasha's partner, is from Mexico City and has lived in New Orleans since 2016. He is a makeup artist and has also worked a variety of other jobs in and around the city. He is big fan of all kinds of music and loves hanging out in the French Quarter.

Smack in the middle of all that St. Claude, the Marigny, and the French Quarter have to offer. We are in the Marigny neighborhood, just a few blocks from Frenchmen street and the Mississippi River, the clubs, bars, restaurants, and art scene of St. Claude Avenue, the St Roch Market and the Healing Center, and the Bywater. In the time of a 5 minute walk, you will reach Frenchmen Street, and a ten minute walk will land you in the French Quarter. There are countless cafes, bars, restaurants, grocery store, health-food store, 24 hour grocery, 24 hour corner store, and an amazing herb shop called Maypop is two blocks away. We would love to recommend our favorite bars, restaurants, music, and events for your enjoyment! We are but a block or 2 away from the big Marigny/Bywater scene: Mimi's, the Franklin, Bywater American Bistrot, The Green Room Kukhnya, Kebab, St. Roch Market, Allways Lounge, the Elysian Bar, Orange Couch cafe, Cake Cafe, Cafe Istanbul, Em Tray, St. Roch Tavern, Marigny Opera House. Additionally, all of the Bywater bars and restaurants are about a 5-10 minute bike ride away.
