A Birthplace of Independence And a Public Art Mecca
The birthplace of American independence, Philadelphia was founded in 1682 by William Penn. The name of the city translates to City of Brotherly Love and the city itself is a vibrant mix of history, art and culture.
Philly, as it is commonly called, is famous for its public art with more sculptures and murals than any other city in USA. Seeing the best graffiti and statutes won’t break the bank balance as you can join many free tours and admire them absolutely free of charge!
It’s also home to many national historical sites with the Independence National History Park as a starting point and centre for all the major landmarks, including the Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Liberty Bell is located, the symbol of the American Revolution.
Visit the world’s largest urban landscaped park, the Fairmount Park with over 37 km² of green area. There are plenty of paths and hiking trails and after that, enjoy some local specialities: a cheesesteak sandwich, a soft pretzel or some Tastykake snacks.
Arriving at Philadelphia International Airport, you’re only a 20-minute ride from the city centre. Booking.com offers a variety of hotels in downtown Philly, near the airport or for the sports enthusiasts, near the Wells Fargo Center.

We were there for a big family wedding to a place where we have lived before years ago. The kids loved the Franklin Institute all day. Street parking was available during the days we were there and we parked in a lot overnight. We didn't walk places, our original plan, staying in Chinatown near the convention center, because of the rain. We happened on the Broad Street Run on Sunday am and had a great time cheering all the runners.
Philadelphia is a wonderful place to visit any time, with the historic district, Fairmount Park, the Art Museum and many other museums in center city, and so many places to visit for everyone.

Philly is ok, we were lucky to have good weather.
Philly is ok, we were lucky to have good weather. Very nice to know that it is considered a Sanctuary city, many people from different ethnicities around, from different countries and religions. Strangely, we did not feel the brotherly love among the people who live there. In general, they were quite indifferent to visitors, almost unfriendly. It is a walkable city, safe and fairly beautiful.
The location was extremely convenient, and absolutely perfect walking distance to the Shopping District, Chinatown, Reading Terminal Market, bus station, etc. The hotel and room itself were squeaky clean and felt very safe and comfortable, the staff professional and friendly. Even better was the parking garage directly beside the hotel, taking away the immense stress of trying to find parking in Center City. The area itself was busy, sure, but I could not have asked for a better experience with how convenient everything was made.
I have stayed here before and the place is consistant. It is what one would expectfrom a hostle- lots of younger and foreign visitors. They have rooms that house from 4 to 16 in bunkbeds, offering limited privacy but the price for a bunk in the 4 person room is less than a third of what a downtown hotel charges. Location is perfect with restaurants and bars around the corner and in the historical section of the city with all the attractions within walking distance. Public transportation is near and inexpensive.
The hotel is situated in the centre of Philadelphia, near many bus stops as well as Greyhound/Peter Pan bus station. It is also near to main attractions like the City Hall or museum of art with a statue of Rocky Balboa. The room is on a busy street but it is a safe place. Many shops or restaurants are around it. I appreciate an iron was in the room. I appreciate the check-in and check-out are based on self-check with possible help from the receptionist (all staff was very friendly and helpful).
This hotel is beyond my expectation. I went to Philadelphia several times. Usually stay in downtown. This was the best experience. The room designed good . Ceiling is high , maybe around 12ft. Very clean . Even the bathroom close to gym. Another amazing thing is the breakfast. So good and healthy . I'm not a fan of buffet breakfast. In Canopy , you can see how healthy from the breakfast menu.
Will definitely recommend to my friends and will definitely go there again. Thank you !
Taylor Swift had seen that every hotel room in Philadelphia was taken but I was very happy with the room I had here. It was a bit hot at night but I had the window open wide, so nothing too bad. The shared bathroom was perfectly fine and the kitchen facilities were excellent. Street parking was ok too. I never met the host but had good communication by text. I did meet her sister, who was very friendly.
we had a rental car and the b&b was conveniently located 25 minutes from downtown Philly. Donna the host gave us lots of tips to get around and to visit in Philadelphia. the breakfast came with a large selection of fruits and cereals and danish and yoghurts and coffees and … we also met other guests at the breakfast table , which gives a very homey feeling and made for interesting conversation.
This is the second time Ive stayed at this hotel. It's comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hotel restaurant is excellent, and the staff is always helpful. It is conveniently located right in downtown Philly. I live in Philly but didn't want to travel for Thanksgiving so I booked myself a room downtown as a mini staycation. The Thanksgiving menu in the restaurant was fantastic!
This is a very nice hotel in a good location (right by the museums and center city). I'd recommend it if you want a more upscale stay with a great view. Staff is excellent, rooms are very clean, and the pool /gym facilities were great! In addition to the on site restaurant and bar, there are plenty of food and drink options nearby.
I was there the weekend of 7/7 to 7/9 for a family reunion we hosted in your hotel. I had a suite and it was a really nice room. The staff were amazing! They were kind, friendly and most helpful. The hotel is in a great location for you to get out and walk and enjoy downtown Philly :)
The location is fantastic, the room was lovely spacious and fantastic value for money. The staff were wonderful and so courteous and helpful. If we get to Philadelphia for another visit, we would most definitely stay at this hotel again. I would highly recommend it.
Very nice hotel located centrally in Philadelphia. Our room was surprisingly large. The small kitchen had everything we needed to make a small breakfast. The staff was very friendly. We didn't have time to swim in the pool, but the rooftop terrace had a great view.
The bed was super comfortable and the room was really clean. Great location right nearby everything downtown as well! I liked the side door entrance to get into the hotel portion without going through the bar since that area was quite busy in the evenings.
The location was perfect to get to know downtown Philadelphia and also to get to the places we needed to go the next day, Acces was easy and it has parking attached to the hotel, we had to pay for it, but still was a good value as a package
The breakfast was very good! The hotel is surrounded by a lot of neat places in Center City. The staff were very helpful, outgoing and friendly! Customer service was superb!
