Stella Blue is half of a historic duplex lovingly restored to its original beauty. She has an open floor plan with an exposed ceiling giving the cozy cottage a spacious feel. Century old original heart pine floors, wainscoting, and exposed beams provide that old Savannah charm & warmth. The living area has an Amish fireplace, a comfortable full sleeper sofa, a small TV with cable & a dvd player. The living space flows right into the sleeping space with a queen size bed, antique dresser & armoire. There is a surprisingly spacious & bright bathroom with a new tile shower & plenty of towels. The kitchen features an antique kitchenette with a small stove, mini fridge (no ice maker/tiny freezer) & enamel sink. All of your basic cooking & eating needs are provided. A space saving murphy table folds neatly away & provides a place to enjoy a fresh cooked meal, extra food prep space or a laptop workspace. The back porch offers 2 Adirondack chairs that are perfect for sipping your morning coffee or evening cocktails. There is a large backyard with a privacy fence & 2 parking spots on the outside of the fence. The space is ideal for couples, 2 close friends or family members, solo travelers, or couples with no more than 2 children. Also, this is one half of an over 100 year old duplex & I rent both sides out as vacation rentals. You MUST be RESPECTFUL as well as UNDERSTANDING of your neighbors. Please no yelling or excessively loud music/tv & keep noise to a minimum especially later at night and earlier in the morning.

I am a Tybee Island & Savannah native & after extensive travel I have come to realize how special & beautiful my hometown is. I love camping, traveling, yoga, live music & anything that has to do with water, mountains & adventure. I am a down to earth, fun loving, easy going person & expect to share my spaces with like minded folks.

Stella Blue is in the fun & funky Starland Arts District on the South West border of downtown Savannah with lots of shops, restaurants & bars very close. This is a favorite area for locals because of the variety of establishments & its location in the downtown area without it being in the most congested part of downtown. The house is less than a block away from the free shuttle stop that runs throughout all of historic downtown with numerous stops including River Street. Please note that there are train tracks & bars close by that can be active & noisy at night. There is also a soup kitchen nearby that serves the homeless population. If you want to be in the middle of the city with all that she has to offer within walking & biking distance then you've found the perfect spot! If however you are looking for a quiet getaway, then this might NOT be the best match for you.
