Tentrr partners with private and public landowners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor locations. Our campsites are off-the-grid, meaning they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform. Larger parties can also use an extra 5-person pop-up tent stored onsite. You'll also have a picnic table, a dry box for storage, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs for outdoor furniture. Please note that heating units and fire pits may sometimes be subject to fire regulations and temporary burn bans - verify with your Tentrr Host and plan accordingly if these items are unavailable. The availability of other amenities like bedding or firewood also varies from site to site (some sites are more rustic and bare-bones than others), so we recommend reading through the listing description carefully before booking. Enjoy relaxing views of Lake Ponchartrain and the fishing pier from your tent deck - easy access to sand beach Located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain only one hour from New Orleans, Fontainebleau State Park was once the site of a sugar cane plantation. Today, Fontainebleau State Park offers 2800 acres for campers to enjoy and explore. Fontainebleau is surrounded by water on 3 sides and provides countless options for activities, including fishing, boating, swimming and sunbathing on the sandy beach of Lake Pontchartrain. There are nature trails to hike and explore - keep your eyes open for the many different types of birds who make their homes in the park! There is an old railroad track that has been converted into the Tammany Trace by the Rails to Trails program, which serves as an excellent path for biking, walking or inline skating. Beachside K is the closest tent to the park's sandy beach. Located approximately 1.5 miles from the park entrance, campers will park approximately 100 ft from the tent and cross the sand to gain access to your site. This partially shaded site has memorable views of the lake and overlooks the entire beach as well. There are no other tents nearby. The site features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. There is a Tentrr Loo (camping potty) at your campsite for convenience. Campers will also have access to a modern bathhouse for showers and park restrooms approximately 0.5 miles from the campsite.

Site guidelines - YOU MUST CHECK IN BEFORE 5pm to make it safely across the water before dark. - Pack your own food, water, firewood, bedding, bug spray and flashlights - There is no electricity, AC, or heater at your Tentrr site, pack accordingly - Anything you pack in, you must pack out. This is "leave no trace" camping and all sites will be inspected for cleanliness and damages before the next camper - All trash MUST be deposited in the designated trash receptacle that is labeled on the map.Please notes : If you do not follow this rule, you will be charged a cleaning fee of at least 50 - Pets are allowed. Please keep all pets on leashes(we recommend 6 ft), and DO NOT let your pets near or swim in any bodies of water. - Please remember to respect and keep your distance from our wildlife in the park. Feeding any wildlife is prohibited. Be aware and watch all surrounding areas when going off trail.
