Transport yourself immediately into the heart of traditional southern West Virginia with this spacious, historic home on a hilltop surrounded by four quiet acres of grass and trees. This is a former coal company superintendent's house built in the 1920s when Glen Jean was a coal boom town. The property is ideally located in the New River Gorge - minutes from whitewater rafting, National Park activities, The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve and rails-to-trails paths.
My wife and I have two strapping sons and a spoiled dog. We love The Gorge and love exploring all it has to offer - from rushing whitewater to scenic mountain vistas. We have painstakingly restored my family’s home and we hope you love it as much as we do. I will be available by phone.
This property is fairly out of the way (but not too far off of U.S. Route 19) and you will have plenty of open space. We are about 10 miles from the New River, about a mile or so from The Summit Bechtel Reserve and a literal stone's throw from Camp Royal and about 14 miles from Fayetteville and most of the White Water Rafting Outfitters.
