Clarens on Collett consists of a modern, private and comfortable fully self-catering cottage and flatlet, set in a quiet cul de sac in the Kloof area of Clarens and providing stunning views of Mount Horeb, Kloof Mountain and the Maluti Mountains. We are situated on the park run route near the Nature Conservancy. We can accommodate up to six guests in total. The accommodation is set on a 3000m2 private stand and enjoys beautiful gardens with abundant birdlife. Wake up to stunning views in peaceful and safe surroundings. All parking is behind remote controlled gates and the property is fully fenced off. Being on a slope, both units enjoy mountain views and are private with hedges and screens. My husband and I reside in the main house. Cello Cottage is a stylish, sunny, secure, and cozy two bedroom, two bathroom 98m2 cottage set behind the main house with open-plan kitchen (including washing machine and dishwasher) and lounge, open and enclosed patio dining areas boasting serene spectacular mountain views, off-street parking in a double carport. ADSL, DSTV, and built-in braai. The cottage also has an outdoor patio area with furniture and an umbrella. Cello Cottage can take up to four guests in a queen and two twin or one king size bed. The Clarinet has its own driveway and entrance via a private balcony with a retractable awning, braai and outdoor furniture. It consists of a queen bed and couch with a TV and DSTV, dining area, DSTV, well equipped kitchen (no washing machine or dishwasher) and en-suite bathroom. with shower. Laundry can be done on request. Both units are north east facing and are sunny and bright with modern tasteful finishes.
Being nature lovers and particularly passionate about mountains is what sold us the property. Our intention was to provide a home from home environment where guests would feel comfortable without comprising the natural beauty of the area. Being close enough to town to make the trip convenient (1km) , but far enough away to feel you are really in the country and being close to the sounds of nature are the main appeal of the property. There are many beautiful walks in the area if you enjoy the outdoors, or just relax enjoy the splendour of the ever-changing mountain views from your unit. Having worked in the travel industry for many years, I am passionate about providing personal service and maintaining a high standard. Our team all strive to offer a wonderful personal experience to our guests. We hope that you enjoy the tranquility and waking up to birdsong as much as we do.
Clarens on Collett is ideal for couples and small families, set in a quiet cul de sac in the Kloof area of Clarens and providing stunning views of Mount Horeb, Kloof Mountain, and the Maluti Mountains. We are within walking distance of the Clarens Nature Conservancy and Kloof mountain, as well as the town square, with its many interesting art galleries and restaurants that will satisfy every palate; as well as quaint shops that offer everything from clothing and accessories to unique ornaments; delicacies; interior décor and bric a brac. River rafting and other adrenaline sports may be arranged via Mountain Odyssey. Some attractions in the vicinity include spectacular Golden Gate National Park (20km); mountainous Lesotho (42km to Caledonspoort border post) and the majestic Northern Drakensburg with the world-renowned Amphitheatre (105 km to Oliviershoek pass). The Lesotho Highlands Water Project Tunnel outflow is 10km from Clarens on the Bethlehem road. The scenic 36 km drive to Fouriesburg provides spectacular views with a detour to the tranquil Rose Hip wine farm and the restaurant is worth a visit.
