I've always had a love for birds since I was a small child. My dream to have a sanctuary for birds came true when we moved to this beautiful farm. Starting with one avairy with a few budgies, we slowly grew our collection of birds which now range from blue and gold macaws to cockatoos. Some of the birds have been rescued. Others were donated by people who couldn't keep them anymore. I also have my own birds that I breed with. Oscar the eclectus parrot is a real character and growls like a tiger! Sadly he has lead poisoning and is a keen plucker. I love my birds and understand each and every one of their needs. Parrots are my passion and I would like to share my love and knowledge of animals and birds with other people.

Phantom Croft Guest Lodge and Parrot Sanctuary is just 12 km from Hartenbos, close to Mossel Bay. It is a haven of beauty with many different types of parrot species ranging from beautiful Blue and Gold Macaws to your smaller Lovebirds and Budgies. We do supply fire wood, coffee, tea, sugar, eggs and biscuits on arrival. It's a sure fact that you will feel at home on our farm, as all that is done here is done with love and care.

Brandwag is a small quaint farming community just 12km from Hartenbos, close to Mossel Bay, on the R328 road.
