For now this excludes the cottages. Also installed 2 30L gas geysers in the main house and 1 30L in the Annex so that all the rooms will now have hot water on tap and readily available. Mini gas geysers in the other two cottages are installed. The Bend Country House is a unique, charming, elegant retreat of a by-gone era.........a special experience, ideal for large groups, conferences or family reunions. Situated 12kms outside Nottingham Road on the Loteni Road and a further 4km along a gravel road. It is one of 22 established, free-standing homes on a 600-hectare Trout and Nature Estate offering fresh air, scenic walks, trout fishing, mountain biking and relaxing during winter or summer. Free roaming Zebra and Blessbok on the Estate. This retreat is totally private and completely independent of the other homes -a stand alone on 15 hectares The Bend Country House, built alongside a beautiful stretch of the Mooi River, just 400m away also offers river tubing which always proves to be a fantastic and safe activity. Nottingham Road is a town 19 km south of Mooi River and 59 km north-west of Pietermaritzburg on the R103 road in South Africa. Founded in 1905 and named after the Nottingham Regiment which was stationed there when trouble was expected from the Basotho in the 19th century. A popular trout-fishing area. The Midlands Meander is just north of Pietermaritzburg and extends from Rietvlei and Currys Post in the east, to Dargle Valley and Nottingham Road in the west. This stunning stretch is about 80km's long and brimming with amazing sights, sounds and activities.
