Inns in Hallstatt

Don't stay at this hotel! The old owner of the place is crazy and they treat you as if they were doing you a favor or hosting you for free!!! The city is beautiful, but the hotel 😖, in fact the service is TERRIBLE! Believe me, the service is so bad that they spoil your experience completely! The room I stayed in is renovated, beautiful and spacious, but there was no hot water in the shower. We tried to talk to the person in charge, but we were ignored. We called, but the crazy old woman (I think she's the mother of the person responsible for the hotel) hung up the phone in our face. I couldn't even wash my hair, because with 10 degrees outside, taking a cold shower is cowardice! The bedroom door doesn't lock from the inside and they don't respect the do not disturb sign on the door, they enter your room even with it hanging on the door. Breakfast is limited, they don't replenish the breads, there are almost no fruit options, they don't replenish cheese and ham, there is no natural juice, there are no scrambled eggs and no hot dishes. The only thing they give you is a boiled egg (1 egg per person). Depending on the room you stay in, you have to walk down the street to get to the part where breakfast is served, and if it's raining, you'll have to go from under the rain! Coffee starts at 08:00 and ends at 10:00, just as check-in starts at 15:00 and ends at 18:00. Even before 6 pm there is no one to serve you at the hotel reception, in fact, the hotel doesn't even have a reception. There is no double bed linen, there are two single duvets, in a romantic city like this, not having double bed linen is strange to say the least. A tip for the owners: you are not obliged to have a hotel, if you decided to have one, do your job well done, you are being paid for it!

Everyone was very helpful. They made us feel at home. Whenever we needed anything, they were there to help. Yoko, Betty, and Yushka were very kind and helpful to us. On the last day of our stay, we wanted to spend some time in the reception area, and Yoko was extra kind and helpful. Whenever we asked anything, she helped us with a friendly smile. That made us feel very appreciated. We will definitely suggest this hotel to our friends and would like to visit again.

The location is good, the staff super good, friendly, lovely, very helpful, and can speak English, and help me to get the taxi, and the OBB train.. and the “ Frozen” Hallstatt is just 7.5km from the property

We stayed for 2 nights in a room where the toilet and showers were shared in the hallway, the bathroom and showers were in good condition, since it is a hotel with history don't expect luxury equipment, but for me personally it was enough and I like places that have a soul ….hygiene was good, everywhere was clean and I didn't find anything missing( hygiene stuffs) As for the showers, people took turns so during the stay it didn't happen to me i would shower place at the same time with somebody else)showers have doors so you can be locked), breakfast was regularly replenished in the form of a buffet and was very tasty and high quality (i think form local)….our room was also clean, room service (cleaning-taking out the trash) was every day which I personally was pleasantly surprised because many hotels don't do that, the hotel has a good location, you can reach the ski resorts in the area within 30 minutes by car, the staff was very nice and helpful. The only little negative thing I notice is that the room was not turned on heating before arrival , otherwise we were little bit cold for a while until the room warmed up, but nothing what cant be change overall. I rate the hotel very well and if i would have journey around i would definitely come back …thank you❤️

Delicious breakfast, welcoming host with truly family owned hotel. Clean and spacious room with comfortable double bed. Only 7 mins away from Schladming ski resort (Hauser Kaibling).
