I felt extremely safe as a solo female traveler. The hotel is right across the street from a university. It takes less than two minutes to walk to the main street with restaurants, pharmacies, and shops. The national park is a 25 minute walk. The host was patient with me as I speak little Portuguese. The room was located at the back of the property, which made it feel more private. The room had plenty of space and a well-maintained bathroom. The staff made my bed every morning and swapped my towels. The breakfast has a variety of choices from pastries to meats to assorted breads. This stay was worth every dollar. I would return again.
