This one was a surprise. I didn’t realize it was so far from Basel when I booked. Probably would’ve stayed closer to the city but it was an interesting experience. You’re out in the country! There’s a working farm on the property with bison. It’s off the beaten path but beautiful with hiking trails. Our room with a view was big with comfortable bedding and a thick robe for going to the shared bathrooms. Nice patio with a view and elegant dining room. We rented a car to get there.

​The location was perfect for us because we had business in the same town. The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable, the staff very professional and helpful. Prices for Switzerland are very reasonable. The food in the hotel is at a very high level. I was especially impressed by the dinners. The bed was very comfortable. We also got free public transport for the duration of our stay in the district. ​
