I arrived on a very stormy day during the Haute Route.trek and was able to check in early. Comfortable beds, balcony and a nespresso machine too. About ten minutes walk from the train station. Not much going on in St Niklaus but the bar and restaurant were popular with locals and residents. Decent pizza and salad though service was quite slow!

    Location is super good and view from lounge are great. Many hikes available around, nice small city with few restaurants to select for dinner. Breakfast was good. Fresh coffee served ! Staff was wonderful and open to explain.

    Pension d'Evolène is a really beautifully inn that makes you feel like you've entered a different dimension (the whole of Evolène does!); it feels familiar and at the same time magical. I just loved my stay there, and wished it could have been more than one night.

    Breakfast was lovely. Dinner was spectacular. We LOVED the garden setting. Staff were SO helpful. Enjoyed the location, for quiet and fresh air. The spaces were very clean, and room was welcoming.

    The hotel is very simple and could use some freshening up to meet today's standards. There are shared toilets in the hallway. That said, it is clean, the staff is very friendly and dinner was excellent.
